KUOPIO 2000



The speciality of Kuopio, Kalakukko, a round dark bread filled with flesh and fish, was the inspiration for the performance made in the garden of the Victor Barsokiewich Photography Centre in Kuopio. The Edible Finns were dressed as crazy scientists operating and manipulating the brain of a person, whose head stuck up from the middle of a table. The brain was a big kalakukko. Different kind of coloured candies were transplanted from the smaller Kalakukko”brains” to the big “brain”.
