2002

Lahti
is a city known for winter sports. The Edible Finns took a deep
step into the Finnish soul when they used old wooden skis
in the performance in the Lahti Art Museum in 2002. The performance
started with a walk around the museum using walking sticks, a popular
exercise of Finnish people. Parts of the edges of the skis were
sawn out and replaced with marzipan and liquorice, and after the
walk the skis were eaten. The public was invited to take part in
the eating.
