The Heartshaped House

One of the few things in life which is really black and white is the feeling of a lost love.

The Heart shaped house was first installed in Amos Andersson's Art Museum in Helsinki for the M.A.P. Biennale 12.9.-23.10.1998. When you attend the white side, you meet 25 computer controlled lamps reminding of my visual memories of magical lamp shops when I was young.

The virtual part of the work was accessable on a computer besides the house.
A slightly different version of the Heartshaped House was exhibited in Södertälje Art Hall in 1988
The lamps, bought from second hand shops, are controlled by a computer. They dim and glow slowly in time with my breathing in three circles with a short time span between the circles.
A heart made of 200 fibre optics can be seen in the dark side of the Heart house
