Rosegarden

Andersson will design the building together with architect Erkki Pitkäranta. They have been working together since 1995 under the name Rosegarden. Gerbera, a gardening school shaped like a flower in Kiipula and a cumin shaped ecofarm for 48 cows in Teuva are example of their collaboration. Common nominators are the shapes borrowed from nature and a humorous approach to the design based on stories Rosegarden write themselves or in collaboration with the users. The Life on a Leaf building will, as well, be based on imagination and the forms of nature. The shape of the house seen from above is a leaf.
